The official 2014 Roush Mustang production numbers show a total production of 1720 cars, up an impressive 70% over the 2013 model year.
According to production statistics for Roush built 2014 Mustangs, the Plymouth, Michigan based tuner built a total of 1532 coupes and 188 convertibles across their lineup of models for both the U.S. and Canada.
The ROUSHCharged Stage 3 variants were the most popular with 812 total units built. This includes 66 Stage 3 Aluminator engined builds.
This was followed up surprisingly with the V6 powered RS which sold 663 units. Both models were up considerably from last year.
The non-supercharged Stage 2 and Stage 1 Mustangs were built in lesser numbers with 170 and 75 respectively.
The sales performance of the 2014 model year Roush Mustangs is quite impressive when you consider that it was a short production year due to Ford’s retooling of the Flat Rock, Michigan assembly plant for the new 2015 Mustangs.
Additionally, the sales rate could have well been negatively impacted by many truly passionate Mustang enthusiasts to whom Roush Performance products typically go home with who may have been anticipating the 2015 models.
None the less, now that the 2015 Roush Mustangs are well into production with the new Stage 3 ROUSHCharged variants rolling off the line, the 2014 model year is now put to bed.
What is the rarest Roush Mustang built in 2014? It would be the single and only automatic transmission equipped Stage 3 Mustang coupe that was exported to Canada. That car was Deep Impact Blue with silver and black stripes.
